This site shows how I used CSS to create "pseudomodal" buttons. I defined the buttons to link to local HTML files. For drama I added animated horse .gif images. These green bordered buttons work very smoothly.
This site seems to work correctly on many browsers including: Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge. Initially it also works on FireFox but after a minute or so causes it to crash.
